Sorry Indigo, got your point but I do not feel the need to remove the question from Maiko’s interview. I see noting wrong with it.

I have many friends who are either deaf or mute, or both, also I personally reached them and asked about their feeling. Their answer is that they see no problem with this question at all, and furthermore they are pleased to be acknowledged.

For your information, I heard that you called my agency and threatened me, but that doesn’t make me change my mind.

Applause to Inés for preparing her well for the Miss UNIVERSE Pageant and I know Maiko will do well in Las Vegas come August 23rd!

I like her candid wit, openness and spontaneity! She reminds me so much of Miss USA, Rima Fakih!

Can you confirm forum reports that Miss KOREA, Joo-Ri KIM, and Maiko will be roommates? Also, when will we see Maiko in her national costume? Like all her supporters I am sooo excited as the pageant gets closer & closer every day!

Lots of success & enjoy this year’s pageant and by the way, Inés, will you be bringing a BIG group to Vegas to cheer Maiko? Don’t forget to bring the vuvuselas, too!

I strongly advise to delate the question about
“Which of the two would you choose? Deaf or Mute “.
It is very humiliating for those people who have speech disorder and people who are hearing impaired.
I don’t understand the purpose of this question.
Isn’t Miss Universe into Charity of any kinds?
This is very politically incorrect question.

I feel that she tried to answer very carefully and in a polite way. I like her answers and I know what she wanted to say.
However, I wish she tried to answer with more specific opinions. For example, please try not to answer like ” There is X. But I think Y ” many times. Sometimes you need to say YOUR idea first, then need to say the reason in order to support and reinforce your opinion more strongly. You don’t need to mention or explain different ideas every time because there are various ideas in the world, and we just would like to know what your answer is in order to understand your personality.
Conclusion is not the only thing what you have to say. ” Why you have such conclusion”, “strongly supporting your idea”, and “What you want to do anyway?” represent your opinion and your personality the most!
Anyways, good luck Maiko, and really looking forward to seeing you standing center stage!!!

what I love Maiko is her intelligence. In my view, she is a probably the best represent for young Japanese in past 5 years. I don’t care whatever wannabe-pageant-expert commented on fan forum such as missosology. she is the best represent for us.

By the way, who translated this article? Some translations, especially questions sound a bit idiotic to me. I’m sorry to say but I reckon you need better translator. I thought when I read ‘beauty is only skin deep’ entry,too. I believe the person translated didn’t understand it means properly (why doesn’t he/she do research before publish??? I don’t get it!!), therefore your entry didn’t even make sense in Japanese. Ines, would you please find someone better or maybe ask Maiko to rewrite something related to her before issues on your blog?
