my summer, my family… the best thing in the world

To all of you, I just returned to Japan and I am now home and happy. I have no comments regarding this year Miss Universe competition. Emiri will be very successful in Japan and this is what’s matters to me and to all involved in her training. She did her absolute best and I am very proud of her.Emiri sweetness, her freshness and elegance are indeed the best qualities to archive beauty. She is going to be an incredible beauty-icon for young women in Japan, same as Kurara Chibana. We will announce many good news regarding her career very soon, also check Emiri’s blog for update at www.miyasakaemiri.comI will post pictures I took in Bahamas very soon.Love to all, ines - chika Says:

Welcome back Ines. And that’s the spirit! This is the start of new MUJ year and I am looking forward to it. How are you going to suprise us next?Ines = Dépêche mode
- huala koa Says:
Donald Trump chose his top 15 so, there’s no asian in his favorite.
that’s why MUO include Riyo in their final Q&A, so at least there’s an Asian to be shown in their show.
I’m sad that you don’t want to share about your opinion, but I understand you, and …
only I can say is “good job” to you and Emiri. Can you tell us something about IBG Japan please?
- Oye Says:
Injusticia y fraude total! En que sea una de las asiaticas tenia que quedar y tenia que ser Japon o Indonesia. Si esto sigue asi say GOOD-BYE TO Miss Universe forever!
Ines, you did your best!
Don’t give up!

Ines, Otsukaresama!!!I respect you so much not because you’re fronteer/fighter but you always care about girls and find the best way for their future. There are many people who want to be a cult leader or master/disciple relationship but you can let them go. Big time respect!
- Tommy Says:
It’s nice to see you happy with your family. I understand you have no comments on this year’s Miss Universe. I know Emiri did her best, and even though I was very sad she did not do better, many of us know she deserved to be in the top. I know I was disappointed before but I don’t think it is fair to say Donald Trump and the judges are particularly racist. If they were racist they never would have chosen Riyo Mori to win. I hope to see more of Emiri soon as she works on other things.
- dong Says:
YOu should have stayed with your own creation for Emiri preliminary Gown Not venezuela’s Gown.. That dress was hideous..
- huala kua Says:
Tommy, you haven’t watched the interview of Donald Trump with Panamanian tv. He didn’t deny about the selection of top 15.
- Danny Boy Says:
I guess we’ll have to respect your desition of not commenting on the MU but I have to say it’s dissapointing. To see what you have to say about this pageant is that most people visit this blog to begin with. It also shows bad sportsmanship on your part. I am sure that if Emiri had won or placed you would’ve had a lot to say about the pageant, but since your girl wasn’t favored then you don’t even say anything. If there’s one thing I felt like I could aways count on was to come in here and see Ines calling them as she saw them. Now I guess that after this pageant that is no longer the case. We will be getting a more subdued who will not comment anything about the pageant if her girl doesnt place. I know this comment probably won’t be approved but hey I figured I’d give it a shot.
- Ben Says:
danny boy you have to understand inès position. Of course she’s disapointed but she doesn’t want to spend the whole month to talk about this pageant. It’s past. Now we are interested about emiri’s futur that’s it. Please understand
- Danny Boy Says:
No Ben, I honestly cannot understand the sore loser stand. If there’s something that has always distinguished Ines is for speaking her mind regardless of what people think. The reason I visit this blog is because whether I agree with her or not I can always count on getting an unedited version of events from her. For her to say that she won’t comment on this edition of MU is a slap in the face to most of the people who visit this blog. Most of us wouldnt know who she is if it wasnt because she is the national director of Miss Japan. She spent months sharing with us all the details of Emiri’s road to MU, why not comment on the end of such road? Thats like giving a story and leaving us without an ending. I’m sorry and once again I know this comment will probably be erased but I cannot stand the sore loser stand, I would’ve expected a more mature approach.
- Tommy Says:
No huala, I did not see the interview. What I am saying is that looking back, I can’t say that Donald Trump is racist in general. If he has a say in the top 15, then he approved of Riyo Mori winning in 2007, Kurara 1st runner up in 2006, and Hiroko making top 15 last year. We can’t say he’s racist this year and ignore that he allowed Miss Japan to win in 2007, that makes no sense. I’m not saying he does not have an agenda at times but that is another issue.
As for Danny Boy, I respectfully disagree. I don’t understand why Ines is a sore loser for not commenting on this year’s competition result.
To me, a sore loser is someone that complains about the judging and badmouths everyone after wards. Ines will not do that, and that is actually a classy and mature thing to do. She understands how this business works, sometimes it is fair, sometimes it is not. I am sure she is disappointed but what good does it do to dwell on it after? All you can do is to hope for the future and work hard again for it.
- Ben Says:
Danny you seems to be a little disapointed and i completly understand and agree with you. The only thing is that we also have to understand ines’s state of mind you know. She need time to be abble to comment the miss universe pageant . Don’t worry danny you’ll have inès state of mind
. But once again i completely understand you but we have to wait. It’s normal
- Danny Boy Says:
Tommy, let’s put it this way. After all she had to say about Emiri being flown in a private helicopter to Nassau, about Emiri’s eco-friendly dress, about her Gucci dress for the interview, about her Versace dress for the finals, etc. After ALL she’s been saying for weeks, for her to simply act like nothing hapenned, there’s nothing for me to talk about is simply childish and immature. It’s like, well I’ll brag about my girl for months, then if the outcome is not what I had expected I’ll just pretend that nothing hapenned. I’m sorry but that is a sore loser to me.
As far as bad mouthing and questioning the judging, I’m not asking her to do that, but just to set the record straight, it’s not like she hasn’t done it in the past. If you don’t believe me just look up this blog’s archives and read what she said about Zuleyka Rivera when she beat Kurara in 2006. If someone can’t handle loosing then my opinion is that they shouldn’t compete.
Ben, thanks for understanding and seeing my point.
- Danny Boy Says:
As far as Emiri missing the cut. This is my take. I think that hands down Emiri is the prettiest Japanese delegate I have ever seen. Prettier than Kurara, Riyo and Hiroko. With this said though, I wasn’t surprised that she didn’t place. Why? Because the strategy implemented on her didn’t showcase her true beauty and strenght.
I feel like each girl is different. Each girl is an unique individual and in that sense, what works for one girl doesn’t necesarily work for another girl. Emiri to me seemed like a really sweet even innocent girl. I never saw her as this fierce sexy girl that she was trying to be. This is something that I think the judges sensed too. Just because you dress a girl with a sexy dress designed by a famous international designer doesn’t mean that she will become fierce. If she’s not fierce she will never be, she will simply come across as a girl trying to be fierce and sadly this is what I felt when I saw Emiri: a girl trying to be something she was not.
When I saw Emiri in her eco-friendly dress at the prelims I could tell that she wasn’t comfortable. If she was, it didn’t show. It looked like she was struggling with that dress, like the dress was carrying her instead of being the other way around.
If Emiri would’ve been projected as the sweet innocent girl she seems to be instead of this sexy fierce bombshell that she tried to be I think the outcome would’ve been a lot different because she is without a doubt gorgeaus. My opinion is that Ines should re-think her strategy and realize that the same strategy cannot and will not work for all the girls. Each girl is different and as such, a different strategy should be created for each girl based on the girl’s personality.
- Tommy Says:
I also understand your frustration Danny, but as Ben says Ines maybe needs some time to just relax and think things over before saying anything that can hurt people. Again a sore loser will be someone that gets too angry right away. It’s natural that Ines would discuss the pre Miss Universe routine.
But I do agree that Emiri does come across as a very sweet and shy girl. She did seem a little different from the MUJ competition where she danced. Maybe she was just overwhelmed and nervous, and that is why she wrote Ines saying there were too many beautiful girls in the competition.

I was so angry that Emiri, along with other Asian and African contestants, didn’t even make a cut this year. This is what I call racism. Donald Trump and the judges have shown themselves to be so narrow-minded and backward in terms of fashion sense and beauty. If it continues to be like this next year, the pageant will definitely lose its popularity. You have already done a great job and I have all the supports for you and Emiri. Take care.
