Hi Ines!
Thanks for the info again!
It is very interesting to know your opinion on how girls dress.
Getting more and more mistery about who`s gonna win!
I really hope Sun to get well as soon!
- ghibli Says:
Helo Ines!!!!
Hope you are enjoying your stay in Vietnam…
You said Jen(Miss Philippines) did really well… That’s a good news for us.
But we are really hoping and praying that she wear the dress that you lend her…. Did she? and Ines, we are all dying to see that dress of yours for Jen so if can feature it here in your blog, we will appreciate it so much….
We can’t wait for April 14….. Good job Hiroko and please extend my support to Sun. I really hope for her early recovery….
Thanks and God bless always…..
- Vitor Says:
I really disagree with your catwalk and wardrobe opinions. The best gown one of your girls wore, in my opinion, was the black gown Kurara wore at the live telecast in 2006. That dress was absolutely amazing. Fancy and classy. Way better than that heavy metal thing Zuleyka wore.
- David Says:
Well I guess Singapore’s chance of breaking into the Top 15 is gone. I am so disappointed. Shenise is our strongest delegate from Singapore in a long long time yet… I feel sad, very sad.
- LeeSora Says:
Thanks Ines for your honest opinions!! I can’t wait until I see them girls on stage!!
- LeeSora Says:
I think my favorite gown from last year was Honey lee’s….I loved how she walked in it and the dress was so beautiful on her! But yea dress can make or kill you….I hated Mexico’s gown last year….and pretty much knew she wouldn’t make it to the top after seeing that dress….now last year mexico had a crazy body with a booty!
- rex Says:
really really sad to hear that sun gets sick because of food poisoning…
do you know how it could be happened ines ?
i hope it won’t affect her performance tonight for the prelim !
’cause i want to see her on the stage on the finale soooo baadd !
come on sun ! be the star of the night !
let nothing get into your way !!
LOVE REX
- Lieven Says:
Really nice to see that you mention Belgium twice.
First that she has one of the best dresses and then that she is one of three European girls that can win Miss Universe.
I hope she’ll at least make the Top15. That would already be a victory for us, after being left out in the cold for 15 years!!
- Sean Says:
LET SUN SHINE AND SPARKLE!
- Islander Says:
Salut, Ines.
Thank you very much for all your updates.
I hope that Jen decided to wear the gown you brought her.
Could you please tell us the color and style of the gown?I am surprised about Thailand. I never thought much of her until you mentioned that she is someone to watch.
Of course, everyone wants to see Korea and Japan’s gowns.
Always interesting!
- FRANCE Says:

Hi Ines
I am really sad to hear that Miss Singapore’s gown is bad. Critical fashion critics from Singapore had even praised her fashion sense before. Hearing this from you makes me real sad
Are her chances of the semis slim now?
- kenda Says:
I’m from vietnam, sadly tonight show is not on air T__T …
I really like Colombia, she’s so beautiful, sweet and nice. While look at her (pictures), i don’t see any commercial smile, it’s nature
and i don’t feel any distance between her and other pp (not miss)
Venezuela is beautiful but she’s seem to be a little commercial …

To the other jess above me…
wow it is so interesting to see that we share the same name and same taste…
Kudos to you! I don’t think Thailand is ugly but something about her I just don’t really like…On a bigger note, SUN please get well soon! We need you on the final show!
As always, go SUN! go HIROKO! Rock on girls!!!
- danni Says:
Sun looks like a strong girl, I´m sure she´ll manage to recover and she´ll rock not only in the prelims, but also in the final night!
Bises!
- JM Says:
Thanks Ines!
I can’t wait for your comments on the Prelims!
Please tell us what you think of Miss Canada; I am eager to know!
- Paulo Says:
Everybody is talking Miss Brazil was the biggest surprised of the nigth. Did you heard something like that???
- Islander Says:
Ines, so sorry to see Jennifer wearing that 80’s gown. I guess she opted not to wear the gown you offered. Let me just say thank you again for your generosity and care, we do hope you can help Miss Philippines next year.
- Islander Says:
Ines, I watched some videos from the presentation show.
All I could say about Sun’s gown – wow! Definitely the best gown this year. She will go very far in this competition. I also loved Trinidad & Tobago, so elegant.
Disappointments for me – USA (Miss America 1982), Venezuela (her elegant white gown in the Miss U site was better), Thailand (dated and not interesting).
I’m happy to discover that Jen did very well and looked amazing.
It’s so sad though that she still wore that 80’s gown. It’s even more sad and unfair that the very same Colombian designer gave Tali a gorgeous flowing gown.
- Jerry Says:
With that gown, and however nicely she walked, I don’t think Miss Philippines will make it. The swimsuit thing is okay though.
- Joe Says:
Hello Ines, i love your blog.
What do u think about the Miss Dominican Republic evening grown and swinsuit competition ?Thanks a lot for you replay.
- trish Says:
Hey Ines, I’ve read your review about some of d contestants’ gowns and u r right, India’s gown doesn’t look that impressive. I like d concept of backless and slit, it looks good with her body especially her long legs. But the upper part of the gown looks awful. I know she can carried it quite well, but somehow, i know it will affect her chances to be in top 5 if she made to SF. I need your help Ines. Can you advise Simran or India’s national director to change the gown since you are the only one who can be contacted via this website. Please tell her to change her gown because it will ruin her chances. The gown is too risky. She’s good in every department. Her swimsuit presentation is hot and i know her interview will be mind blowing as usual. She’s good in that. The only thing that stop her from winning the title would be the gown. Saree would be a better choice. It looks good in her. Please Ines. I don’t want another potential candidate from India to end up in top 10 like last year just because of that disastrous gown. Please…

salut,
bonne chance a tes Miss.
- omg Says:
why was sun poisoned? was it intentional by someone jealous?
hope she gets well
- Gigi Says:
I LOVE YOU INES! You have the best fashion sense in teh whole industry!

Hello,Ines-san,
I love this Hiroko’s hairstyle ! →http://mainichi.jp/life/fashion/news/20080614mog00m100005000c.html
☆ So beautiful and elegant !! ☆ Go JAPAN ! ☆
- yos Says:
Hiroko is blessed with amazingly beautiful hair and such a stylish haircut that frames her face so well and yet she has her hair pulled back all the time during the competitions. Why hasn’t she been wearing it loose? Looks to me it’s hurting her chances- it takes warmth and mystery off. Think Kurara, think Riyo- one of the strongest features of Asian women is their beautiful long hair! Hiroko, let loose your gorgeous hair and show it off! Best of luck anyway.
- David J Says:
To Islander
Just for your information, Miss Colombia has two evening gowns by two different designers. Colombia’s dress in the preliminary competition wasn’t designed by the one who usually designs the gowns for Colombian and Philippine contestants.

Thank you Ines! I am your loyal fan and checking your blog hourly for updates! Be sure to write something, ANYTHING, as soon as you get back from the Presentation Show!!!! Hehehe! I bet Hiroko and Sun will shine and do very well! Best of luck to your two beautiful girls!
