Shooting with 3 models (EMIRI, AYAKA & LULU) for 4 different major Japanese fashion magazines in California. (MAQUIA, VOCE, ELLE & HANAKO). Such fun memories. Lot of work and traveling but a perfect opportunity to discover Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Even if It was not a holiday but work….(I was full of energy at the beginning and mega-tired by the end of the trip), but such a cool job! Go visit California with its amazing landscapes, night life, sandy beaches, wines, food, dry weather and diverse shopping. A guaranteed unforgettable experience! (Video edited by my son, Ben)

My 2 happy little boys are chasing chickens. I came  up with a killer-strategy… I told them that if they could catch one I would give them 5,000 yen bill (50 dollars)!!!!! Well,,,,  I knew it would be mission-impossible, but I thought that money would motivate them to run around for a while, which would allow them to waste some of their incredible energy. But indeed money was such a big motivation and later-on, it was hard to make them stop and leave the park as they kept running like crazy after those poor chicken…! This place is Hanauma Bay, a precious natural reserve park where the animal life live is really spectacular. You can snorkel, swim in the coral and discover plentiful of unique fishes, actually 20% of them exist only in Hawaii. We visited one of my husband’s best friend, security at the park, and President Obama and his family were there with ton of special security around. Talking about the Obama family, they actually celebrated midnight at the same neighborhood beach as we did last night.  So much police cars were touring around, it was incredible! A group of about 50 people from Tokyo are spending new Year holidays in Honolulu. We celebrated all together at our Tokyo-friends, Hilary and Chris Wendel. They  own a spectacular home on Kailua beach, same beach as the one where the Obama family is staying. Fireworks were exploding everywhere last night in the island, the sound was like the Pearl Harbor bombing all over again…. Hawaii it is the only state in America that allows people to do individual fireworks all night long. The smoke in the island was massive and my eyes were burning for hours afterwards. I took this picture at the Sea Life Park, when my boys were playing with a dolphin. They spent 3 full days at the park learning about sea animals and they loved it! This was the grand final… playing with a dolphin! Sugoi!

I MISSED YOU!!!!!!!! Writing from the 17th floor of a glass building in Honolulu, close from the craziness of Waikiki and the white sand beaches. Now enjoying the first morning of 2010, with a bright sunshine in a pure blue sky, which is the the magic of Hawaii: its climate, the luxurious vegetation, the Polynesian culture, the music, the hula dance, the aloha spirit, the 8 islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You must visit….. it is so beautiful over here. Who could predict when I grew up in the south of France that at the same time, thousand kilometers away, the love of my life was being raised in an island called Hawaii. I remember watching Magnum, the series on TV and imagining how it would be there… well life is full of surprises. I have been so busy shopping, swimming, tanning on the beach, playing with my boys, sharing magic moments with my sweet-loving husband, celebrating the holiday with friends, talking with family, reading, watching American television….. drinking lots of champagne at 3 different parties last night! Happy New Year to all my sweet friends around the world, I wish you all a colorful, happy, laughing, deep loving, healthy and energetic 2010. I have posted a few review from the Spring Summer 2010 collections from Milano, Paris and New York. Not yet done, a couple more shows to reviews still, but here we go…. ps: not my husband on the picture.. but a friend!

Gucci: Spring 2010 RTW Runway, backstage, and front-row footage from the Milan show. What can I say?!….. Frida Giannini is for fashion what Beyonce is for music… she has the talent, the uniqueness and she keeps winning all the Best Award trophies in my heart! Her collection once again:….. It’s hot and very body-conscious. It is sexy, monochrome & powerful. My favorites are: -The backpack shoulder-straps on the dresses -The bandage-dresses -The evening gowns totally pure and classy Now ladies, go to the gym and get in these dresses ASAP!!!

Louis Vuitton: Spring 2010 RTW Runway, backstage, and front-row footage from the Paris show. Love the cartoonish, chic-manga looks, perfect for Japanese women at all age. The colors are pastel, soft and feminine, which will be easy for Japanese women to wear without feeling too flashy, but still wearing some colors. The accessories are out of this world. Marc’s designs are very pop culture, fresh and fun. This is my favorite season so far, since he started designing for Louis Vuitton. Scoop… I spent the afternoon at singer Kanye West home in Honolulu where he stays for the New Year with model-girlfriend Amber Rose, and let me tell you a secret…. I got “Closer to his closet” and he has so many Louis Vuitton bags in his closet! My absolute favorite….. the shoulder bag, I will DEFINITELY get one!

Dsquared²: Spring 2010 RTW Runway, backstage, and front-row footage from the Milan show. Fabulous! Imagine you are visiting your boyfriend who is living on a ranch when you are a fashion queen…. what would you wear? My favorites of the season from Dsquared are: - the black plastic evening gown topped with diamonds, VERY HOT - the huge plastic backpack-bag totally see-through covered with black diamonds. - the jeans…. half jeans-fabric ending with a yellow shiny plastic texture. Japanese girls can rock that look very easily with the right attitude, go for it! I love the idea… twin brothers designing the coolest looks for young girls with attitude. I will try to find my picture taken by my Dad, several years ago, with both of them at the gay pride in Paris. Lot of fun people, insane music and costumes. They were both wearing skirts and I wore pants, go figure! The picture is so great that I framed it and hanged it on my office walls in my home in France.
