Friday we shot on a private yatch in Yokohama harbour with 4 finalists, Yuko, Rui, Nahoko and Chie. Hillary, Miss Teen USA and Riyo were there with me having lunch. They are many pictures of past Miss Universe winners on the wall of the boardroom meeting. You can see on the right-end side, Akiko Kojima, Miss Universe 1959, from Japan, she is so elegant. After lunch we went shopping at Riyo’s favorite place… Victoria Secret!!! and we bought many goodies for the finalists. 先週撮ったニューヨークのミス・ユニバース本部での一枚。この日はスタッフの一人の出産祝いをしました。私はミス・ティーンUSAのヒラリー、理世と一緒にランチをしました。役員会議室には過去のミス・ユニバースの写真がたくさん飾ってあります。右下に見えるのは1959年にミス・ユニバースに選ばれた児島明子さん。彼女はとてもエレガントです。ランチの後は、理世のお気に入りのショップ…Victoria’s Secretでショッピング！　ファイナリスト達のためにたくさんの衣装を購入しました。 At night we went out for dinner at the very exclusive members’ club called Norwood, and Susan Sharandon was there having a drink. I am a big fan. She looked very accessible and natural. Many designers, editors and fashionistas in the place, I invited some of my best friends in NY with Riyo and it was sweet to go out, I never have the time in Tokyo…. A fun evening. その夜はノーウッドという会員限定のレストランでディナーをしました。何とスーザン・サランドンもそこに来ていました！！私は彼女の大ファン！彼女は親しみやすく、とても自然体でした。他にもデザイナーや雑誌編集者、ファッション関係の人たちが大勢来店していました。理世と私のNYの友人と、東京とは一味違った、楽しい夜を過ごしました。 The next morning I was on the plane back to Japan. I went to NYC to shoot with Jenniffer Lopez but the shoot was canceled while I was on the plane from Tokyo to NYC! Now I am going back to New York next weekend to shoot at ……. JLo’s home, yeeeehaaaa!! 翌朝、日本へ帰国するため飛行機に乗り込みました。東京からNYに向かう途中、ジェニファー・ロペスとの撮影の予定がキャンセルになったので、来週末にもう一度NYに行く事になりました。撮影場所は…なんとJLo（ジェニファー）の自宅です！！！ My time in New York was nice because I had plenty of time to spend with my baby girl Riyo. It was so good being together again, dining, resting and talking for hours about everything, like her life now and also about her future. We talked about the international dance school that she projects to open in Tokyo together with her good friend Virginia de Blank, when she moves back to Japan next July, after the complition of the Miss Universe Pageant, on the 15th of July in Vietnam. We have already so many projects lined up for her when she returns, a fulll-strategy in place. Wait and see!  NYでは私のベイビー、理世と長い間過ごす事ができました。何時間も色々な話題で盛り上がり、特に今の彼女の生活と今後の活動について話し合いました。7月15日にミス・ユニバースの任務を終え日本に帰ってきたとき、友人のバージニアと彼女の夢である東京にインターナショナル・ダンス教室を開くことなど、すでに沢山のプロジェクトが目白押しです！ During our time together, we spoke about all the charity work in which she is activally involved. Also the dance classes that she takes on Broadway, in her free time to keep her strenghts and to improve her skills. 一緒に過ごした時間、私たちは理世が今まで関わってきたチャリティー活動や、彼女がフリータイムに参加しているブロードウェイのダンスレッスンについて話しました。 We spoke about her relationship with her roomates, about Pageant Place, MTV series experience, about her multiple travels around the world, about people she has met since she won at fabulous events, about the incredible amount of gifts that she has received from fashion houses. 彼女のルームメイトについてや、MTVのThe Pageant Place出演、世界中を飛び回る経験、彼女がミス・ユニバースになってから出会った人達、ファッションブランドから受け取った信じられないくらいたくさんの洋服ギフトについても話しました。 Riyo is very happy to be Miss Universe, she loves everyone in the organization and adores Roston whom is doing “my job” for a year… taking good care of her. I found Riyo grounded, peaceful and very humble. She is a refreshing image for a beauty queen, finally someone real and modern! 理世はしっかりしていて、穏やかで、とても謙虚。彼女は「ビューティー・クイーン」に、偽りのないモダンで新しいイメージを与えてくれました。 A fairy tale…….. for a fairy girl. …おとぎの国の妖精。 Translation by Ayako Nagahama

This influenced the past generations and thus gave knowledge to the people which they turned to fuel money inflow. Imports, exports and many technological advances. JAPAN went from making can toys in the 50’s to becoming the greatest technological power in the world in just 50 years!  JAPAN worked super hard to get there. And now their women are coming out and showing their true colors. Asian women are finally not scared anymore to show who they really are and be bon vivant. All women can reach the same potential. Some are blessed with a country that worships women, some are blessed with countries in which they have people to teach them to admire women. Like in JAPAN. JAPANESE and ASIAN beauties are finally showing their true personalities without fear! I should receive my gorgeous Jaguar XF at the end of April. I ordered it 2 months ago, and I cannot wait to have it, drive it, feel it, experience it on the road! 二ヶ月ほど前に注文した新車、Jaguar XFが4月下旬に私の元に届きます！！もう待ち切れません！！ I love safe speed, I like to race cars, I used to race when I was in my twenties.
