Architecture – Le Corbusier
Le Musée national d’art occidental de Tokyo, construit par un de mes architects favoris, l’architecte français Le Corbusier, va bientôt être inscrit au patrimoine culturel du Japon, ont annoncé vendredi des responsables de la culture.
Construit en 1959, le bâtiment de 3 étages en béton est situé au coeur du parc Ueno, dans le nord de la capitale.
Le gouvernement français et la Fondation Le Corbusier ont lancé une campagne internationale pour inscrire 23 oeuvres réalisées par le célèbre architecte dans 7 pays sur la liste du Patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco en janvier.

フジタミナ（ヒデのマネージャー）と涼子のスタイリスト。涼子のスタイリストさんには、銀座のブルガリタワーのオープニングでもお会いしました。そのとき、涼子の髪をボブの長さにカットしたと教えてくれました。新しいヘアスタイルは彼女にとてもよく似合っていて、ロングヘアよりもっと素敵だと思います。

ROOM TO READ PARTY
Kurara is reading her message in the VIP private salon, inside the gorgeous shop of Ralph Lauren on the Omotesando Avenue in Tokyo, last Thursday evening.
Room To Read hosted a party to introduce John Wood, the famous top-executive of Microsoft who resigned out of the blue a couple of years ago, to raise money around the world and to open libraries for children, in poor countries, and with no access to books.
When I was approached initially by their Japan chapter Susan Lodge, also Meg and Hillary, I jumped on the idea of opening a library for children in Vietnam and to secure scholarship with many girls with no chance to receive an education. Also I asked one of my dear business partners to help me with the funds to donate. This is a special thank you to Kazu Terada for his generosity as he helped me personally with a donation of 800,000 yen!
The donation was made in the name of Miss Universe Japan on that night and as a surprise to John Wood.
Kurara made a very moving and motivating speech about the importancy of girls education around the world.
I announced the donation of 800,000 yen to Room to Read on the behalf of the Miss Universe Japan Organization in front of numerous journalists, 2 Japanese TV crews and about 100 VIP guests invited to the event.

On that day, I had to attend a Christmas party with my children, in between meetings at the office, also I wore jeans instead of a evening gown like everybody else. I made a joke that I had to sell my dress in order to make the donation and people laughed, also I got away with it!

I LOVE THIS PICTURE… it was taken behind the scenes last time that Penelope and her sister Monica Cruz visited Tokyo for the launch of their new hang bags designed for Samantha Thavasa.
私はこの写真が大好きです。先日、ペネロペと妹のモニカが日本でサマンサタバサの新しいラインのバッグを発表した際の舞台裏です。
Monica is holding Amy Yonaga, head of communication, new adorable baby boy. He was so cute and smiling. Penelope and Monica were cuddling him all the time before going on stage for the press conference.
モニカが抱いているベイビーはアミさんのお子さん。彼はいつもニコニコしていてとっても可愛いんです。ペネロペとモニカは記者会見の直前までずっと彼を抱っこしていました。
This is the kind of picture that people never get to see and that I wanted to share with you.
こういった雑誌やメディアでは見られない様な写真を皆さんにお見せしたいと思ってました。
At this moment, I was talking about my owns sons and how great it is to be a mom.
この時はちょうど私の子供達のこと、母親になることの素晴らしさを語っていたところです。
Katrina on the left side is Penelope’s manager since she started at age 13! This is why Penelope is so successful I believe, because she has a great woman protecting her always, someone she can trust.
左の女性はカトリーナ。ペネロペが13歳で仕事を始めた時からずっと彼女のマネージャーをしています。ペネロペはいつも守ってくれているカトリーナがいるから、成功へとつながったと思っています。
Then, they did their design session with the team at Samantha and they are very involved, they choose not only the design, but they decide the colors, the fabrics, no leather as they do not want to use any animal skin. They both are fully involved in the entire process from the beginning. They have a strong taste and love to design.
この後彼女たちはサマンサタバサのデザインチームとのミーティングがありました。バッグの制作に始めから深く関わっていて、デザインだけでなく色、素材等真剣に選んでいます。動物の皮は使わない様にするなど、彼女たちのバッグのデザインには強いこだわりと愛情がにじみ出ているのです。
Penelope is so active and fun, she is a smart woman and loves to perform. At night Samantha arranged a celebration party for her nomination for the Oscar, for her role in VOLVER, her movie with Spanish movie Director Pedro Almodovar, and at one time, she was making moves for me as if she was singing in a microphone while dancing with a chair. penelope is an amazing actress with a true love for acting, it is like a natural extension of who she is in real life.
ペネロペはとても活動的でとても興味深い女性です。スマートで演じることが大好き。この日の夜、彼女の最新作「VOLVER」(監督はスペインのペドロ・アルモドヴァル）がオスカー賞にノミネートされたお祝いのパーティーがサマンサタバサ主催で行われました。パーティーの最中、彼女はマイクを片手に椅子と踊りながら歌っている振りをしました。彼女は本当に素晴らしい女優です。演じることに愛情を注いで、彼女にとって演じるということはまるで生活の一部のようです。
Monica is very sweet and calm, still very passionate. They are very attached to each other and always hold hands when they walk to the stage. It is good to see them so close as sisters and as a family. Amazing and talented young women to be celebrated.
モニカは落ち着いていて、とてもスウィート。その反面とても情熱的な部分もあります。2人はとても仲が良く、ステージを歩くときもいつも手をつないで歩きます。姉妹や兄弟、家族が仲良くしているのを見るのはとても素敵ですね。そして才能ある、若い女性たちが賞賛されるのも素晴らしいことだと思います。

Riyo and Tinsley were together at the WAD event on December 1st in New York.
下の写真は12月1日にニューヨークで行われた”世界エイズデー”イベントでの理世とティンズリーです。
(New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer designs great bags for Samantha Thavasa, I owns myself 2 of her bags and Riyo loves them as well.
ニューヨークのソーシャライト、ティンズリー・モーティマーはサマンサタバサのバッグのデザインもしていて、私も彼女のバッグを2つ持っています。理世も彼女のデザインの大ファンです。
I met Tinsley during the Fendi Fashion Show on the Great Wall of China in Bejing). Fendi flew 300 VIP from all over the world, and it was no surprise that Tinsley would be one of them.
ティンズリーとは万里の長城（中国・北京）で開催されたフェンディのファッションショーで会いました。フェンディは世界的に有名なVIP達を約300人招待しましたが、そのうちの一人に彼女が含まれていたのは言うまでもありません。
We actually left at the same time at the airport in Beijing, and it was good to catch up while waiting to board in. She is a sweet young woman, and I loved seeing her in jeans, casual clothes and huge over-size sunglasses, she looks good like this instead of her Barbie Doll looks that her stylists created for her to appear publicly in Japan.
空港での待ち時間が重なったので、お互いに積もっていた話をすることが出来ました。彼女は若くてスウィートな女性。彼女は日本で報道されている時のバービーの様な服装ではなく、ジーンズや大きなサングラスなどカジュアルなスタイルで、とても似合っていました。
I wish she would drop the pinkish clothes…. Here, on this photo you can see the fashion side of Tinsley.

I was supposed to go back to New York yesterday, but Paula and Roston told me that I can stay in Paris for 2 full days 
. I was so excited!!!!

Dear hot-Mama,
I just came back to New York after traveling to Japan-Vietnam-Macau-France. I am now back home.
I loved Cannes very much!!! I wish the Miss Universe offices would be in France… I spent time with such nice people, very wealthy but so cool and humble.
I thought of you everyday and made sure I would look like a real French woman, also I made myself look nice starting from the breakfast each day!
People said to me ” tu es belle!” all the time
I’ll visit Cannes again in the future! Maybe together for the next French Film Festival?

Thursday 29th, we attended the party of Redbull at Mado Lounge in Roppongi Hills. Here with Asami and some of the semi-finalists for 2008.
11月29日(木）、六本木ヒルス゛52階のマドラウンジで開催されたレッドブルのパーティーに参加しました。

The party was about travel, the invitation that we received for the party was actually a Boarding Pass. Welcome on board!
