Tomorrow afternoon, Kurara will try on some exclusive vintage evening dresses that Japanese designer Yoshiki Hishinuma has prepared for her.

In Los Angeles, Kurara will wear one of his gowns at the Welcome Dinner , when she will make her first public appearance at the Miss Universe competition.

 

With the designer, looking at some of his designs presentation in his studio in Ebisu.

Xavier Desbriat, General Manager of the Grand Hyatt hotel in Tokyo hosted a dinner for 8 at the French Kitchen on Thursday night.

 

Chef Olivier Nasti from Alsace (France) had prepared some unique dishes changing the texture of the original recipes. It was really delicious and interesting to discover new French cuisine from a part of France normally so traditional. Typical dishes include: choucroute, escargot a l’ail (snails), gousse ect…

Kurara with Samir Dahri, Assistant Manager at The Grand Hyatt. They met many times at charity events when she worked to help raise funds. He asked to take a picture with her at the end of the diner. She was very honored….

Kurara used to work in a restaurant in Tokyo to help pay her studies. She quit when she won Miss Japan. She knows well how hard work it is…………Hindi mahalaga ang materyal na bagay, ang mahalaga ay kung paano makitungo at nakibagay sa ibat ibang uri ng tao. Laging tandaan na irespeto ang bawat tao.

Our beautiful Miss Japan 2000 is leaving in New York with her love Christian and works as an architect since she graduated from Harvard. The lovely Mayu, irridiating intelligence and warmth.

Mayu came back to Asia to work on a project in Korea, a 5 stars hotel. She stopped back to visit her family and we could see her. We miss you sweetie but even though you live so far from here, you are always with us, inside our heart

Kurara arrives today at the Samantha Thavasa Press Conference.

 

It was the official presentation of their Fall Winter collection to most of the fashion Editor-in-Chiefs in Japan.

Penelope was in town with her sister Monica to promote their new line of bags for Samantha Thavasa. Kurara loved their designs so much that she picked one of each for herself. I took them out for dinner on their last night in Tokyo, at a very small traditional sushi restaurant. See the owner and his sons on the pictures with us. He actually sent me the pictures.

 

Very surprising, Penelope told me that Tom (Cruise) had taken her to dine at the same restaurant in the past when they came together to promote their movie Vanilla Sky!

Penelope has a store in Madrid. She likes to shop around the world and to bring back unique designs that are sold at her store. If you happen to visit Madrid, do not miss to go there. Monica is an actress as well, and she is famous mostly in Europe. During the summer I often see her on TV in some shows and films. She is really charming and they are both such lovely persons. They are very sweet and sincere, I love to speak with them and spend time around them, and it is always nice, because they always treat people with love.

Kurara spent time with Monica talking backstage, both share a love for Flamenco. Monica danced with superstar Joaquim Cortes many times.

We had a fun time at the restaurant, mostly when my husband ate alive fish dipped into sake, both were horrified! Penelope at the second round jumped out and saved the fishes……..!

Kurara’s search for her personal interview dress………………….she chose to wear PRADA.

Yesterday afternoon, we went to the press room of PRADA and they had prepared 10 outfits for Kurara to try on for Los Angeles.

Spectacular dresses, all are hand-made with embroderies and details so unique and precise. A real peice of art. Kurara will wear one of them for her personal interview with the judges.
